Before you write.
- Where do you perform?
- Worldwide, based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Canadian passport. Past engagements include the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, Java Jazz Festival in Jakarta, the Vancouver International Jazz Festival, and cruise lines including Royal Caribbean, Seabourn, and Disney.
- Do you perform in Spanish?
- Yes. Bilingual sets in English and Spanish — Great American Songbook standards alongside boleros and Brazilian repertoire. Over 100 titles in Spanish and Portuguese in active rotation. Stage announcements in both languages.
- What configurations do you offer?
- Solo piano-vocal through full big band: trio (piano, bass, drums), quartet, quintet, and custom orchestrations on request. Professionally engraved, sight-readable charts for any combination.
- Do you bring your own band, or play with house musicians?
- Either. Self-contained from solo piano-vocal through full band, or just Luis with charts for your existing musicians. Cruise lines and festivals frequently book the guest-with-house-band format.
- How far in advance should I book?
- Cruise contracts and festival slots typically 6–12 months ahead. Private and corporate engagements often move faster — reach out with the date and we will work backward from there.
- What about weddings?
- Selectively. Curated full-evening engagements only, where the band is the music programming rather than background. Email agent@luisgiraldo.com with the date, venue, and vision.
